Learn how to draw the figure in red chalk from one of America’s foremost figurative artists. In this two-day workshop, Robert Liberace will teach students how to draw the human figure using the modern-day equivalents of this traditional medium. Previous figure drawing experience is recommended. Enrollment is limited to 20 students. A comprehensive materials list will be supplied to all registered students.

About the Artist
Robert Liberace is considered by many to be a contemporary classicist. Equally gifted in drawing, painting, and sculpture, he may be best known for his distinctive style of figure drawing.Rob was recently selected by The Artist's Magazine (February 2006 issue) as one of their picks for the top twenty realist artists under the age of forty. In 1996, American Artist honored Liberace with its "Emerging Artist Award." In 2002, he received the Best of Show Award in the Portrait Society of America's International Portrait Competition, and in 2003 he received the Society’s Grand Prize. Also in 2002, three of Liberace's drawings were selected for exhibition in New York's prestigious Arnot Museum of Art. Robert holds a B.F.A and a M.F.A from George Washington University and is currently working on a book on classical figure drawing using modern materials. In addition to his publication and commissions, Liberace teaches workshops throughout the United States and Europe.
