Rob is participating in a classical figure painting show at the John Pence Gallery in San Francisco. If you're in the area it looks to be an amazing collection from many top figure painters. Unfortunately Rob won't be able to make the opening, but it will definitley be a great show to see. See an article about the show in American Art Collector magazine, February 2010, pages 128-131.

Saturday, March 13, 2010 from noon to 6pm
Join Rob in SoHo for the opening reception of an exhibition featuring his small sized figure paintings and drawings. In addition, for the first time at the gallery, Rob will be doing a figure drawing demo during the opening. See an article about the show in American Art Collector magazine, March 2010. The Arcadia Gallery is located (in SoHo) at 51 Greene Street (between Broome and Grande Streets) New York, NY 10013. The show will be up through March 27th.

American Artist's Workshop Magazine, Summer 2009

Rob to Teach an Online Class with American Artist Magazine,
September 2009
"CREATING MASTERFUL PORTAITS IN THREE COLOR CHALK"
Rob has been asked by American Artist Magazine to teach an online class as a new feature for their magazine and website. It will be six weeks long, with a live webinar and two critiques, along with weekly lessons and student discussion. The class will focus on three color chalk and red chalk drawing. "Paint Alexandria" demo, Art League Benefit, May 16, 2009
Rain didn't dampen this year's "Paint Alexandria". Rob painted a scene from the beautiful Carlyle Gardens, about a block from the Torpedo Factory. Held along (or near) the Old Towne waterfront, this two-day plein air event was filled with on-site demonstrations and instructional sessions from some of the artist-instructor members of the Art League.

"Top Twenty Artists under the age of Forty" February 2006
The Artist's Magazine
Rob was selected by The Artist's Magazine as one of the top twenty realist artists under the age of forty. It was a nice surprise. There are certainly a lot of talented artists out there. It shows that realist art is truly alive and well today!
Textbook Spread
Rob was asked by local artist/teacher Sallye Mahan-Cox to do a demo for a textbook she was working on, titled "Discovering Drawing" by Davis Publications. Rob drew his long-time friend, poet Lee Klein. Lo and behold, a gorgeous and well produced textbook recently arrived on our doorstep. Rob's demo had its own beautiful spread. Great job Sallye!

Article on the Ireland Workshop
American Artist Workshop Magazine, Spring 2006 American Artist editor Stephen Doherty wrote a wonderful and informative article about the September workshop in Ireland entitled "Rob Liberace: Learning from the Masters." The story contains three demos and a lot of
information within its eighteen pages!

In an article entitled "Words from the Wise," Rob was interviewed about important issues impacting artists today. Part two of the series.
