Some of our renovation photos.....

House March 2003 when we bought it.

January 2006 with new siding, windows, dormers, trim and copper porch roof.

and in June 2007 after the stone wall, arbor and plantings were put in. And finally, some landscaping! We decided to just keep the drive in front of the house. Putting a border around the gravel made a big difference.

We moved the azalea bush over about three feet. What a big job that was! It
was the heat of the summer and I don't think that bush ever knew it was moved.
Not one wilted leaf!

Hydrangea bush from Kerry Vosler in the midst of turning purple.
Another before and after shot, this time the after is October 07

Garage being cleared out to make a studio for Rob... after with new vaulted ceiling and cherry floor.

Living/dining room in progress
Rob putting in floors.
Kitchen when we bought the house in March 2003.

Kitchen with northeast view (bathroom and utility room were taken out to add
the sunroom on left.)

view of tin ceiling (we put in) and arch from sunroom.

Fireplace and living room when we moved in.
Tile we installed in in front of the fireplace in preparation for our new wood
burning stove insert
Fireplace with new stove and mantle (we bought a kit from Van Dykes Restorers
and added the small corbels, top and sides to it).

Little "nursing" chairs from Ireland refinished!
THE FENCE
in progress..........(it was more work than we had imagined)

Rob cutting off post tops.
The new addition on the end of the fence to add a bit more privacy.

The hinges finally arrived!

Two photos splice (either that or the car and house were in bad accidents)
Now for landcaping.
New deck out back, July 07...

Back of house when we bought it.This would have made a good "haunted house"!
Rob closed in the back porch (and replaced all the wood, even on the floor and
ceiling, and the back side of the house now has the french doors rather than
a single window. That back area used to be a laundry room and a bathroom. Now
it is the sunroom.

Just after deck was finished.
Before and after (still needs to be stained/painted and landscaped)

The new little marble topped Eastlake table from Craigslist goes really well
with the Eastlake mantle and the tile.
